AALO, Jan 31: SFS College here in West Siang district organised the third edition of its ‘Youth-cum-food festival’ on Thursday.
It is an annual event of the college, organised to encourage the students of various schools of West Siang and nearby districts to participate in various literary, sports and cultural competitions.
Attending the meet, Aalo East MLA Kento Jini highlighted the significance of the theme of the event: ‘A woman and womanhood.’ He also exhorted the students to stay away from harmful substances and remain focused on studies and building their future through productive activities.
The MLA felicitated the meritorious students of the college, and gave away mementos and cash awards to the ‘best graduates of the year’ on behalf of the college.
The overall champion of the youth festival was SFS School, Aalo, while St Xavier School was the runner-up. (DIPRO)
