PASIGHAT, Mar 24: The Adi Ba:ne Kebang (ABK), on behalf of the Adi community, has issued a directive to all concerned to defer all scheduled kebangs (opin kebang/dolung kebang/banggo kebang/Bogum Bokang kebang) till the “government’s notified time period.”
It also called for avoiding all kinds of celebration and social gathering.
“All village authorities are also asked to comply with all directives of district administration and to monitor awareness activities on Covid-19 and maintain personal hygiene as prescribed by health by authorities,” it said.
Commending the selfless service of the government officials of various departments and local administrations in preventing Covid-19, the ABK appealed to all the people under its jurisdiction to fully cooperate with and support the government officials at the ground level.
“The ABK Apex and the respective districts and block units along with its frontal wings shall be extending our full support to this fight against Covid-19,” it said in a release.
