AALO, Apr 1: Rice has been dispatched to Shi-Yomi district, which was staring at hunger following the lockdown after the outbreak of Covid-19 in the country.
305 quintals of rice for Mechuka, 100 for Tato, 245 for Monigong and 120 for Pidi have already been dispatched to preempt any ration crisis in the interior areas, said a press statement from the West Siang district administration.

The district administration is also ensuring easy passage of essential commodities to the circles and villages.
Magistrates, along with police led by the SP, and members of the ATPWDS and other NGOs are engaged in enforcing the shutdown. Disinfection activities are being carried at ATM booths, and men and vehicles on essential services duties are being allowed to enter the district.
