ITANAGAR, Apr 7: A team of the Apatani Students’ Union (ASU) on Tuesday met local MLA and minister, Tage Taki, in Lower Subansiri HQ Ziro and requested him to take steps to assuage the problems being faced by the students who are stranded outside the state due to the nationwide lockdown.
“The minister said the state government is collecting data of all the people from Arunachal who have been stranded outside the state, and chalking out plans to help them,” the union said in a press release.
It advised stranded Apatani students to visit the link https://forms.gle/K2LvKFoG3uCKjFeUA, and fill up the form.
It also advised them communicate with the ASU by calling the helpline numbers 70857 60505 and 76409 87198 (WhatsApp, northern India), 96153 40797 [eastern India], 85756 15626 [western India], and 85754 06240 [southern India].
The union appealed to all the educational institutes in Ziro to provide concession or waiver of fees to their students.
“This concession or waiver in fees, if provided, will help many a family in tiding through these trying times,” the ASU said.
