West Siang Police launches ‘each one help one’ campaign

AALO, Apr 15: The West Siang district unit police, led by SP Jummar Basar, launched the ‘each one, help one’ campaign to provide succor and support to poor and needy families during the lockdown period.
Under this campaign, 37 families have so far been ‘adopted’ and provided with ration items.
The police have also appealed to the capable ones to reach out to the poor and needy people and help them.
Awareness campaigns are also being conducted regularly by the Arunachal Pradesh Doctors’ Association (APDA) to educate the people about dos and don’ts to prevent Covid-19. So far, 486 homemade facemasks have been distributed among the public by the APDA.
Apart from Yomgo Automobiles proprietor Kengam Ete and Galo Ane, who have contributed Rs 51,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively, UD & Housing DD Hally Welly, PWD EE Minjom Padu and DPO Marjum Karga have also made notable contributions toward the fund of ‘mask for all’.
Various NGOS and youth organizations, including PAYA and GYO are rendering voluntary services to assist the medical and police teams deployed at Hissam check gates to check the flow of men and materials into the district. (DIPRO)
