ZIRO, Apr 23: The fisheries department here in Lower Subansiri district supplied .853 tons of fresh local fishes to the residents at various locations in Ziro-Hapoli township between 15 and 23 April.
“The fisheries department is toiling hard to bridge the gap between demand and supply of fishes,” DFDO L Lasa informed.
He said the department is liaising with the local fish farmers’ cooperative societies, women SHGs, and all marginal fish farmers to meet the growing demand.
The DFDO gave assurance that the fish farmers would be provided with facilities to transport fishes and sell them from counters here.
He requested the people to maintain physical distancing while buying fishes. (DIPRO)
