KHONSA, Jul 7: The Tirap Community Resource Management Society under the North Eastern Region Community Resource Management Project (NERCORMP) organized a ‘review-cum-convergence meeting’ here on Tuesday.
The meeting was aimed at discussing converging of various departments for implementation of the NERCORMP’s processing and allied units in Tirap and Longding districts, proposed under the annual action for the 2020-21 financial year.
Tirap DC Bhanu Prabha requested the officials of the line departments and the district administration to extend all possible support to the NERCORMP, “and converge wherever possible.”
The DC requested the bankers to extend credit support to women SHGs and FPOs, and assured to provide all possible assistance in the matter of registration of FPOs promoted by the NERCORMP for processing units.
NERCORMP District Project Director Ruzing Bellai gave assurance that the proposed processing and allied units would be established within the time limit. He urged the line departments to “give emphasis on production of raw materials required for the processing and allied units.”
Earlier, the DC launched the NERCORMP website and other social media platforms, showcasing the works done by the NERCORMP and other departments in the district. (DIPRO)
