SEPPA, Jul 7: The East Kameng district water & sanitation mission (DWSM) in a meeting held here on Tuesday finalized the district’s action plan under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) for the period of 2020-24.
Themed ‘Har ghar nal se jal’, the mission is aimed at providing water supply to every household and important government institutions in the district.
Presiding over the meeting, DC Pravimal Abhishek Polumatla asked the PHE&WS department to “involve all concerned departments while conceptualizing a plan for water augmentation and retrofitting of institutions like schools, anganwadi centres and health centres.”
He called for “prioritizing all needs-based proposals,” and said he would instruct all administrative officers to provide logistic support in the implementation of the mission in the district.
PHE&WS EE Bharat Sonam presented a brief on the proposals to be incorporated and implemented in phases in the action plan.
DRDA PD Ashok Tajo, WRD EE Suren Natung, DMO Dr D Khunjuju, Agriculture DD N Sumnyan and ADI Nondo Doka also took part in the discussion. (DIPRO)
