AALO, Jul 24: The monsoon rains have snapped surface communication in many parts of West Siang district.
The Aalo-Pangin road has been eroded at several points and heavy vehicles are stranded at many places. Efforts by the administration and the road construction authority could enable passage for only light vehicles.
The Aalo-Likabali road is also blocked due to heavy landslides at Everest Point, and passage for light vehicles could be made possible only on Friday morning. The road is likely to be cleared by Saturday if the rain stops.
The Aalo-Yomcha road is also blocked at Sii-Kosi, and clearance work is underway. (DIPRO)
