JD (U) holds state executive meeting

ITANAGAR, 17 Mar: The state executive meeting of the Janata Dal (United) state unit was held here at the state office on Wednesday, wherein various issue confronting the state and also the previous activities held in 2020 with regards to Covid activities were discussed.

Talking to the press, state JDU president Ruhi Tagung said that the meeting discussed various issue of the state, including the recently concluded panchayat and municipal elections in the state and the Covid-19 pandemic and its management and lockdown faced by the people of the state.

Tagung said that the house resolved that there will be a second state executive meeting cum felicitation programme for all newly elected IMC corporators/ ZPCs/ ZPMs/ GPCs and GPMs, scheduled to be held on 23 and 24 April 2021, respectively. The party will also interact with the elected panchayat and municipal leaders to work for the development of state and welfare of the people.

He shared that the national JD(U) president, RCP Singh, MP will grace the occasion. The national president will interact with the party leaders, elected PRI and municipal leaders of state.

JD (U) National General Secretary and I/C North East Afaque Ahmed Khan, and Chairman NEEC Senchumo Lotha, will also attend the programme.
