ITANAGAR, 6 Apr: Mizoram Legislative Assembly Speaker Lalrinliana Sailo on Tuesday visited the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (APLA) secretariat here to gather first-hand information about the National e-Vidhan (NeVA) project.
The APLA secretariat is the first Assembly in the North East and third in the country to have successfully implemented the ambitious e-Vidhan project. The ministry of parliamentary affairs is its nodal ministry.
During the visit, Sailo and his team of officers were briefed
on the entire idea of NeVA project by special secretary to speaker, PN Thongchi.
A detailed presentation on the project, which not only helps in making all functions of the Assembly paperless but also saves time, money and energy were also presented before the visiting delegation.
Sailo lauded his Arunachal counterpart PD Sona and his team for successfully implementing the project in the state. He also sought necessary assistance for the project’s implementation in Mizoram.
Earlier, Sailo and his team were accorded a warm welcome to the assembly secretariat by secretary (legislative assembly) Kago Habung and additional secretary Tadar Meena.
National e-Vidhan is a device-neutral and member-centric application created to equip the handler with information regarding the Assembly. With the help of the application, the members can use their tablets/ laptops to see the list of business, read questions and other documents pertaining to House proceedings.
