ATPWDS, alumni assn assess problems of GHSS

AALO, 3 May: The Aalo Town People’s Welfare and Development Society (ATPWDS), led by its chairman Kento Ete, and the alumni association of the government higher secondary school (GHSS) here, led by its president Gego Doji visited the GHSS on 1 May to take stock of the problems faced by the teachers and students of the school.

Ete said the school needs proper attention “as it is one of the oldest schools of undivided Siang which has produced many stalwarts.”

The school needs infrastructure for hostels, classrooms and other amenities as many parts of the 50-year-old establishment have become obsolete. “The society will liaise with all concerned to address the burning problem of Darka village also,” the ATPWDS said.

Doji spelt out the efforts made by the alumni association, while GHSS Principal Hormo Ete and Vice Principal Lona highlighted the problems of the school and disclosed that the school at present is facing multiple problems. They said many of the issues have been highlighted in the past too. (DIPRO)
