ZIRO, 19 May: The Apatani Youth Association (AYA) observed its 47th foundation day on 19 May by visiting the One Stop Centre (OSC) here in Lower Subansiri district and offering to provide food supplies for the sheltered victims.
The association offered the assistance after learning that “the government provides only five days of food supplies to sheltered victims” and “the OSC had been facing difficulty in sheltering some of the victims for longer periods.”
AYA president Habung Tamang, general secretary Racho Kacho and women’s wing president Tilling Yam also visited the newly inaugurated women police station and interacted with the officials.
Earlier in the day, a plantation drive around the AYA ground at Old Ziro in Lower Subansiri district was also held as part of the AYA’s foundation day celebration.
