MEBO, 20 May: Local MLA Lombo Tayeng on Thursday launched the special Covid-19 inoculation drive, ‘Tika Utsav’, for those aged 18 to 44 years at the CHC here in East Siang district.
Ninety-nine eligible persons were administered the vaccine on Thursday.
“The second wave of Covid-19 has impacted the country immensely and all kinds of delay in containing the virus must be avoided. All eligible persons, including youths above 18 years, must come forward and vaccinate themselves,” Tayeng said, and urged people with flu-like symptoms to get tested.
He commended the efforts of the frontline workers, and said they should try to give their best services to humanity.
The MLA handed over Rs 50,000 for the Covid warriors. (DIPRO)
