Namsai DA declares relaxations

NAMSAI, 1 Jun: Following the extension of the lockdown in Namsai district from 31 May to 7 June, the district administration on Tuesday declared a series of relaxations, “subject to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour.”

Grocery shops (only those notified by the administrative officers in their respective circles) are allowed to operate from 8 am to 1 pm daily until further orders, “subject to production of latest Covid negative report of all the shopkeepers and attendants,” the order issued by DC RK Sharma said.

“Selling of vegetables is allowed to operate in the Sunday market location only from 8 am to 1 pm daily. All other mandis, including

2 Mile mandi and daily market, will remain dosed until further orders,” it said, adding that all the vegetable vendors should be spaced about two metres from each other.

Standalone shops in villages will be allowed to remain open.

“No vehicular movement/parking is allowed during the market timing from MLA’s Residence to Old Bazaar area,” it said.
