Covid-19 vaccination maha abhiyan launched in Lohit

TEZU, 23 Jun: Lohit Deputy Commissioner Marge Sora launched the ‘Tika maha abhiyan’ for Covid-19 vaccination in the district on 21 June.

Later, in a review meeting on Covid-19 vaccination, Sora stressed on the need to intensify the vaccination process to identify all the left out and reluctant beneficiaries.

“Village-wise nodal officers were appointed and the gram segment Covid-19 control committees have been appointed to counsel all the reluctant beneficiaries and to dispel misinformation,” the DC said.

The Lohit DC also urged all stakeholders to achieve the target of complete vaccination by 30 September as the date for full immunization as set by Chief Minister Pema khandu.

It is worth mentioning that the door-to-door campaign to vaccinate the elderly, differently-abled and all left out beneficiaries is being held in the district.

Till date, six villages – Mawati-I, Mawati-II, Jalukbari, Panbari, Old Pukuri, and New Pukuri – in Lohit district have achieved 100 percent vaccination for first dose of Covid-19 vaccine for 45 years and above beneficiaries.  (DIPRO)
