One more dies of Covid-19, state’s death toll at 189

ITANAGAR, 11 Jul: One more Covid-19-related death was reported late night on Saturday, taking the state’s death toll to 189. The death was registered late on Sunday by the DHS.

According to the DHS report, a 44-year-old male patient with comorbidity from Lohit died of Covid-19-related complications at the AMCH in Dibrugarh (Assam) on Saturday at 11 pm.

The patient had complained of fever and headache on 1 July and had tested Covid-19 positive through RAT at the Medo PHC on 4 July. He had then been referred to the AMCH on the same day. The patient’s vaccination status is nil.

Meanwhile, the state on Sunday reported 254 new Covid-19 cases, of whom 101 are symptomatic.

The ICR reported the highest 106 Covid-19 cases, followed by 21 cases in Longding and 17 cases in West Kameng.

Kamle reported the highest 100 percent positivity rate in the state. The ICR reported a positivity rate of 9 percent.

A total of 276 patients in various health facilities across the state were declared recovered or discharged on Sunday.
