ITANAGAR, 12 Jul: Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Secretary Jayanta Kumar Ray informed that the results of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive (Mains) Examinations (APPSCCE) are likely to be declared in August this year.
Although a definite date has not been provided, the secretary on Monday assured that the commission was working towards declaring the results at the earliest, and that the delay was due to the Covid pandemic.
Earlier, on 1 June as well, the secretary had said that the results of the mains examinations have been delayed “due to the pandemic,” and that the commission was trying to expedite the announcement of the results.
Around 26,000 candidates had appeared for the prelims examinations held on 1 November, 2020, for 111 vacancies in various departments.
The results of the prelims were announced on 9 November, 2020, and about 1,200 candidates appeared for the APPSCCE mains held between 6 and 14 February.
