One Army soldier dead, seven others seriously injured in accident

TUTING, 14 Jul: An Indian Army soldier died and seven others were seriously injured, when the vehicle carrying the troops to Tuting in Upper Siang district in the AOR of 49 Bn ITBP met with a serious accident due to inclement weather conditions, between Pango and Palsi early Wednesday morning.

An ITBP team under the command of Deputy Commandant Veterinary Officer Dr Anoop Kumar Nayak, who was deployed with the Animal Transport Logistic BOP, rushed with emergency intravenous supply and immediately started field critical treatment and saved the lives of several soldiers.

The ITBP veterinary officer stopped massive haemorrhage and prevented hypovolemic shock by immediately using banana leaves as bedding and started emergency intravenous stabilisation.
