DAPORIJO, 15 Dec: Agriculture Minister Tage Taki emphasized the importance of preservation, promotion and protection of the rich culture and traditions of the Tagin community.
Attending the fifth general conference of Tagin Cultural Society (TCS) here on Wednesday, Taki said that the TCS has been renderings its selfless services not only to its community but also the entire state.
He encouraged the people to adopt organic farming to export the produces to other states and countries. Taki also urged the community members to stop the illegal hunting of wildlife.
All the four legislators of Upper Subansiri district-Nakap Nalo, Nayato Dukam, Taniya Soki and Rode Bui-also emphasized on the need of promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Tagins and all other communities of the state.
Arunachal Indigenous Tribes Forum assistant general secretary Tapi Tai spoke on the duties and responsibilities of the forum for the welfare of the people of the state.
