DNGC students sweep national-level Hindi letter writing competition; winners felicitated

ITANAGAR, 12 Apr: Three BA 6th semester (Hindi major) students of Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) here have brought laurels to the state by securing the first, third and fourth positions at a national-level letter writing competition in Hindi (Akhil Bhartiya Nagri Lipi Patra Lekhan Pratiyogita), organised by the Nagri Lipi Parishad under the union education ministry recently.

Bomzen Dulom and Tai Kamyer won the first and the third position, respectively, while Kipa Sanjay secured the fourth position.

The trio was felicitated in a function at the DNGC on Tuesday.

Expressing happiness over the outstanding performance of the students, DNGC Principal Dr MQ Khan said that there is no dearth of talent among the students, and that they can compete at the national and international levels if the students are imparted proper guidance.

“Though students of the college have been bringing laurels in co-curricular

activities at the state, national and international levels, yet this is a record created by winning the first, third and the fourth prizes at a national-level academic event of letter writing competition,” he said.

The principal also felicitated Associate Professor (Hindi) Tumbom Riba Jomoh “for her fruitful guidance to the coveted prize-winning students.” (DIPRO)
