MIAO, 12 Apr: Field Director Aduk Paron convened a meeting here in Changlang district on Tuesday with representatives of the Yobin community of 27/31 Mile area, which falls under the Namdhapa National Park (NNP) and is not recognised by the government.
The meeting was attended by, among others, the range forest officers.
A detailed discussion was held between the park officials and the members of the Yobin community. The officials of the NNP explained the existing forest laws and regulations to the members present and asked them to shift from the present area.
In order to arrive at a logical conclusion, the members present asked for another date of meeting in the next 15 days.
