PASIGHAT, 28 Apr: Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering has released Rs 20 lakhs from his LAD fund for purchasing new desks and benches for the government schools in his constituency, which comprises Ruksin, Sille-Oyan and Bilat circles.
While Ruksin circle has 13 government schools, Bilat has 12, and Sille-Oyan has 17 government schools.
The estimate and proposal with regard to the need for desks and benches were prepared by Sille-Oyan CRC coordinator Okom J Panyang.
“The MLA deputed three local contractors for supply works, implemented through the PWD and verification of the qualitative supply work, including certification to the contractors done by Ruksin BEO T Tapak,” Panyang informed in a release.
