LUNGLA, 17 May: A week-long rural tourism exchange program between Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh began at Zomkhang Hall here in Tawang district on Tuesday.
Organized by Lungla Tourism under the guidance of Lungla MLA Jambey Tashi, the exchange program will focus on strengthening homestays in the area with resource persons from Sikkim.
The resource persons will stay in various homestays and impart practical training to the registered homestay owners.
The exchange program is in continuation to the 2 days workshop on homestay, photography and birding which was held in April 2022 at New Lungla.
The inaugural session was attended by the Lungla ADC Tashi Dhondup, NE Chapter Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) chairman Oken Tayeng, Jemeithang CO Hibu Dindie, resource persons from Chalamthang Tourism Development Committee, Sikkim and homestay owners of Jemeithang and Lungla circle.
