ITANAGAR, 18 May: The All Arunachal Unemployed Civil Engineers Association (AAUCEA) on Wednesday demanded that the government cancel all officiating or functional posts of Assistant Engineers (AE) and Junior Engineers in the work departments. The AAUCEA also urged the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission to postpone its AE’s examination which is scheduled to be held on 12th June.
It urged the commission to conduct the examination after including 10 vacant posts. The association also demanded for creation of sanctioned posts in newly created districts and divisions adding that newly created districts have shortage of engineers and staff.
The association also requested for creation of Superintendent Engineer and Chief Engineer posts in Sports and Youth Affairs department. The association also raised the issue on untimely conduct of department promotional committee (DPC) meeting and urged the government to ensure DPC are conducted timely.
