BANA, 9 Jun: Panchayat leaders and government staffers of Bana block in East Kameng district participated in a training programme on the National Mobile Monitoring System (NMMS) here on Thursday.
During the programme, DRDA PD Ashok Tajo exhorted everyone to use the NMMS, and suggested to the panchayat leaders to coordinate with the block office “for effective implementation of the application.”
He advised the PRI leaders to inform the MGNREGA workers about the app, saying that it would “help in reducing the duplicity in attendance of workers.”
Bana BDO Rakham Langdo highlighted “how to take attendance and registration of tablet under NMMS.” He also presented a brief on how technology would help “save time spent on to and fro movement of eMR and minimisation of paper record.”
Bana ZPM Mije Degio said that there are some villages where internet connectivity is not available, and told the government that “some options may be sorted out at certain areas, so that NMMS app can be implemented effectively.” (DIPRO)
