RONO HILLS, 2 Jul: Twelve teams participated in a daylong badminton tournament organised at the NTP Club’s clay court in Upper Taying-Tarang village here on Saturday to mark the National Doctors’ Day.
In the final match, the duo of Taje Pali and Luktu Romin, of Upper Taying-Tarang village, beat the duo of Dr David Pertin and Mundeep Deuri of RGU’s Duplex Colony team 18-21, 21-19 and 22-20.
The other semifinalists were the teams of Tana Topu and Innao Jaoseng Singpho, and Gollo Gungte and Bengia Juju. Luktu Romin of Upper Taying-Tarang village was adjudged the best player of the tournament.
The trophies and cash prizes were given away by medical practitioners present on the occasion and the chairman of the NTB Club.
