HOLLONGI, 2 Jul: The Papum Pare district disaster management team, along with the NDRF and the SDRF search and rescue teams, has called off the search operation for the two children who drowned in the Hollongi river in spate at Huto village in 28 June.
The teams carried out intense search operation for five days, but there was no trace of the missing children even on Saturday.
The decision to call off the search was taken with consent from the relatives, the mother, and the father of the two minors, who said that they have lost hope and do not want to undergo any further trauma. (DIPRO)
