ANINI, 13 Aug: Dibang Valley DC Pagli Sora convened a meeting here on Friday to review the PMGSY projects in the district.
During the meeting, which was also attended by local MLA and APEDA Chairperson Mopi Mihu, seven “tardy projects” out of the 16 ongoing projects were reviewed.
The MLA stressed that “non-completion of PMGSY projects within stipulated time period and deadline issued by the government of India will defeat the very purpose of rural connectivity,” and directed the executing agency and the contractors to “speed up the work by more inputs in man and machineries.”
The DC directed the DPIU and the contractors to ensure “early start of the work, wherever it is suspended.” He assured them of all possible cooperation from the administration “whenever there is public disturbances and problem in alignment of the road.”
The Anini RWD executive engineer advised the contractors to “submit revised work programme and time extension for regularisation.”
The meeting was attended by all the contractors of the projects, the ZPC, ZPMs, RWD officers, and others. (DIPRO)
