YINGKU, 12 Nov: Pangin MLA Ojing Tasing inaugurated the community hall here in Siang district on Friday, in the presence of ZPC Oshi Pabin Mibang, members of the ABK, panchayat members, and others.
The project was built by the Pangin PHE&WS division for Rs 30 lakhs. It is aimed at encouraging group activities, social support and public information.
The MLA in his address expressed the need for “collective responsibility on paving the roads for further development together,” adding that “both the administration and leaders play an even bigger role in it.”
Deputy Commissioner Atul Tayeng spoke about “the need for a self-sufficient village, as this would lead to more independent and self-reliant citizens.”
He assured to look into the matter of providing reliable electricity supply and “a ground rural water supply system” in the village.
The ZPC stressed on “the importance of the PMGSY to provide connectivity between villages as a measure to reduce poverty.” (DIPRO)
