ITANAGAR, 29 Aug: Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) here on Thursday conducted an interactive awareness programme on yoga.
During the programme, Krishna Nayaka, a dedicated yoga instructor from Karnataka, who is on a ‘yoga awareness padayatra’, motivated the students to practice yoga for better memory and happiness, and to work for the protection of the environment.
DNGC Principal Dr MQ Khan lauded Nayaka for his endeavour to “unite human society through yoga and protection of the environment.”
Dr Khan also commended his patriotic determination and courage for the service of the motherland in such a unique way.
“Nayaka is the first Indian to walk through Bhutan, Nepal and all the states of India. It will be difficult for anyone to break his record. He is able to do it because of his habit of practicing yoga as a committed yoga teacher,” he added.
The programme was coordinated by DNGC Commerce HoD Dr AK Pandey. (DIPRO)
