YINGKIONG, 17 Mar: Eleven units of blood were collected during a voluntary blood donation camp organised by the Upper Siang district hospital blood centre at the hospital here on Monday, in collaboration with the Upper Siang Christian Forum’s women’s wing.
Deputy Commissioner Talo Jerang and DMO Dr Gepeng Litin visited the camp, where the DC lauded the members of the Upper Siang Christian Forum for voluntarily donating blood.
Addressing the donors, Blood Bank Officer Dr Katan Patuk briefed them about the importance and benefits of voluntary blood donation. He said that “professional blood donation is no longer acceptable,” and added that one can help people in need and save lives through voluntary blood donation. (DIPRO)
