ZIRO, 28 Jul: Renowned chefs Dr Gautam Chaudhury and Ashish Bhasin trained members of the Mother’s Kitchen self-help groups (SHG) from Lower Subansiri and Keyi Panyor districts here in Lower Subansiri district.

The intensive training programme was organised by the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), with support form the Panchayati Raj Department, under the guidance of the RD&PR secretary.

Held at the community training centre of the Hiichi Bulla Model Cluster Level Federation from 25-27 July, the programme allowed SHG members to learn directly from the country’s top chefs.

The chefs interacted with 18 Mother’s Kitchen unitsto understand real-life challenges faced by women in professional catering, and delivered hands-on training in modern culinary skills, food hygiene, and entrepreneurship. Both chefs provided invaluable mentorship on improving quality standards, creative menu development, and confidence-building, opening up new avenues for income generation and sustainable community growth.
