ANINI, 31 Jul: A ‘Shiksha Saathi Dibang’ initiative was launched here in Dibang Valley district on Wednesday by the Panchayati Raj Department, in collaboration with the Education Department and NGO Hope Defence.
This initiative is aimed at delivering career counselling sessions at schools throughout the district, preparing the youths for success in the future.
On 9 July, a memorandum of agreement was signed between the Panchayati Raj Department and Hope Defence, marking a commitment to conduct comprehensive career counselling workshops in the district. These workshops will take place monthly, specifically on the last Saturday of each month, benefitting students from Class 6 to 12, and setting them on a path to informed career choices.
The inaugural session was held at PM SHRI Upper Primary School, Angolin, where over 45 students and their parents came together to explore their future possibilities.
District Tourism Officer Lamwang Aran served as the resource person and provided insights into a variety of career paths in commerce and management available after Class 12, discussing options such as BCom, BBA, BCA, MCom, MBA, MCA, chartered accountancy, and chartered financial analyst.
The session was met with enthusiasm and appreciation from both students and parents alike, showcasing a strong community interest in navigating future opportunities.
