ITANAGAR, 24 Feb: Himalayan University (HU), in collaboration with the Central Bureau of Communication’s regional office here, organised a special outreach programme on ‘Nari Shakti & Viksit Bharat @ 2047’ on Tuesday.

HU Vice-Chancellor Prof Prakash Divakaran highlighted the transformative role of women in shaping India’s future, and reiterated the university’s commitment to promoting gender equality, leadership, and holistic development among the youths.

RK Mission Hospital gynaecologist Dr Bengia Chirchi said that women’s health, awareness, and empowerment are essential for national development.

HU’s Special Education Department Head Dr Ibraheem Khan spoke on the importance of inclusive growth, gender equity, and the role of education in nation-building.

An impromptu speech competition was also conducted for the participants, encouraging students to express their views on women empowerment and the vision of a developed India.

Central Bureau of Communication’s Regional Office Joint Director Utsav Parmar highlighted the importance of women empowerment in achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047.
