ITANAGAR, Jun 16: A team of officers of the legal metrology department in Lohit district, led by Zonal Deputy Controller Minte Siga booked three shopkeepers from the Tezu market on Tuesday for violating the provisions of the Legal Metrology Act.
In West Siang district, a legal metrology team led by Assistant Legal Metrology Controller JK Lobom booked five traders from Aalo township for violating the act.
Two of them were found using unverified weights and measures, while the other three were found selling packaged products not containing mandatory information.
