ITANAGAR, Jan 12: Mrs India 2017 winner, Dr Duyu Meena Mudang from Lower Subansiri district, has been appointment as the Regional Director for Mrs India-2018 for the Northeast states.
Daughter of Duyu Sambyo and Duyu Rinyo, Meena is a doctor by profession and is married to Mudang Tacho. She is also mother of three children. Meena created history by becoming the first married woman from Arunachal Pradesh to win the Mrs India-2017 title, and by becoming the first Mrs Planet-2017 world finalist from Northeast India.
She has also represented India in Bulgaria and won the prestigious international titles of Mrs Planet (Personality)-2017 and Mrs Green Planet (Costume)-2017.
The auditions for Mrs India Northeast-2018 will be held for the first time in Northeast India and the winner will get direct entry to the National grand finale of Mrs India-2018, which is the only gateway to the world’s premium International beauty pageants – Mrs World, Mrs Planet, and Mrs Asia International.
Meanwhile, Dr Meena expressed her gratitude to the organizers of Mrs India and its National Head, Deepali Phadnis, for believing in her credibility and to assign her with the responsibility for the people of Northeast India.
