ITANAGAR, Jan 28: A 26-member team of athletes from Arunachal Pradesh, including 11 officials, will participate in the first Khelo India School Games in New Delhi.
The state will take part in judo, archery, boxing, weightlifting and badminton.
The eight-day event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 January.
Sports & Youth Affairs Joint Director, Gumnya Karbak is the chef-de-mission.
On 26 January, Sports Authority of Arunachal Chairman Bamang Tago gave a pep talk to the participating team at the directorate of secondary education here.
Tago advised the athletes to maintain strict discipline and sportsman spirit throughout the event. He encouraged them to perform up to their potential and bring laurels to the state by winning medals.
