CHANGLANG, 17 Dec: A mini marathon themed ‘Stay drug free’ was organized by the police here in Changlang district to mark the Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav on Friday wherein around 120 persons from different organizations including Assam Rifles, CRPF, police personnel and general public took part.
All the public participants were drug de-addicted persons who have successfully given up drug addiction through de-addiction program under Nasha Mukht Abhiyan in Changlang district.
Speaking on the occasion, Changlang SP Mihin Gambo motivated all the public participants in the event to stay healthy and not to take drugs again.
He advised the youths to set an example for other addicted persons to undergo drug de-addiction and live a drug-free life.
The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the participants. (DIPRO)
