NAFRA, Feb 3: A football tournament organized by the All Sartang Students’ Union (ASSU) began at Khoina in Nafra circle of West Kameng district on 3 February.
The opening match was played between Jerigaon and All Khoina Youth Association, in which the latter defeated the former 3-2.
The opening ceremony was attended by West Kameng district BJP vice president Yeshi Yamchodu, former ASSU president Wangching Deru Mosidu, and cultural secretary of the All Sartang Elite Society, Bodo Yamchodu.
Yeshi Yamchodu spoke about the importance of playing sports to stay physically fit, healthy, and mentally sound.
Six teams are in the fray in the tournament.
