BASAR, 22 Mar: A team of scientists from the ICAR here in Leparada district went on a diagnostic field visit to adopted villages Sadi-Sago, under the Tribal Sub-Plan, on Tuesday.
The team, comprising VEE scientist Dr Doni Jini, fruit science expert Dr Thejangulie Angami, and agroforestry scientist Dr Rajesh A Alone, visited the villages and advised the farmers to “go for deworming and vaccination at regular intervals, provision of feed supplement for farrowing and growing pigs,” the ICAR informed in a release.
The team also inspected the crops grown inside low-cost polyhouses and, after diagnosing the problem, suggested to the farmers to “grow suitable vegetable sequence or to grow king chilli as sole crop under the growing structure, following scientific agro techniques and plant protection measures,” it said.
