ITANAGAR, 14 May: The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology’s (NIELIT) Itanagar centre, in association with Oju Mission School (OMS), conducted an ‘awareness level training programme on cyber security & emerging technologies’ at the OMS on Saturday, under the project titled ‘Capacity building in IECT including training in digital skillsets and current industry demanding technologies for various sections of society in the NE states’, funded by the union electronics & IT ministry.
The programme was inaugurated by OMS principal Sheema Domai Chamua and OMS superintendent Jangphun Tangjang, in the presence of NIELIT Itanagar resource persons Anup Kumar, Shammi Sharma and Dipak Roy.
Seventy students participated in the programme.
“Under the project, NIELIT Itanagar shall impart training to 4,000 school dropouts and students of schools and colleges, 600 women, 400 farmers, 600 elderly persons, 1,600 technical graduates/diploma holders, 360 engineering graduates, and 400 teachers in Arunachal Pradesh in two years’ time, during 2022-2023 and 2023-24,” the institute informed in a release.
