ITANAGAR, Sep 16: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has exempted emergency and essential services, like ambulance, milk van, media persons, magistrate on duty etc from the purview of its proposed state-wide bandh on September 19.
The AAPSU called the bandh to register its strong protest against the Centre’s recent move to grant citizenship rights to Chakma and Hajong refugees in Arunachal Pradesh.
The students’ union called upon the people of the state to come forward and extend their whole-hearted support to the movement, considering the gravity of the issue.
