The decision of the state government to empanel the Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai and the ACTREC in Kharghar under the Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) is a very good move. Already prominent hospitals of the country like CMC Vellore and NEIGRIHMS Shillong are covered under it. Chief Minister Pema Khandu since assuming power has streamlined the CMAAY and has made every effort to try to make it as people-friendly as possible. This scheme is one of those rare government-launched schemes which truly benefit the people. Despite some hiccups, it has managed to impact the lives of thousands of people in the state.
Increasingly, it is becoming very popular among the masses. The decision of the state government to empanel the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH) will massively benefit the people of Arunachal Pradesh. A large number of people from the state visit the TMH in Mumbai for treatment every year. Especially for cancer patients, the TMH provides very good treatment. With it being empanelled under the CMAAY, the poor patients will get massive benefits. The state government, in particular CM Khandu, deserves to be appreciated for streamlining the CMAAY and for empanelling important hospitals like the TMH, the CMC, the NEIGRIHMS, etc, under it. The government should continue to support this scheme and make it more people-friendly.
