ITANAGAR, Sep 4: The Arunachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (APSPCB) has selected 10 students to participate in the first regional conference of National Green Tribunal, Eastern Zone Bench, Kolkata to be held in Guwahati on September 9 and 10.
The selected students will have the opportunity to attend the first regional conference on ‘Waste Disposal and Management’.
Apart from this, the students will have the opportunity to interact with Chief Minister of Assam, Judges of the Supreme Court of India, Professors from IIT Kharagpur and Guwahati, and other subject experts.
The selected students are, Tomter Gamlin and Nyami Taso of GHSS, Itanagar; Toku Riniya and Charu Teema of Holy Cross School, Itanagar; Preety Hazarika, Ayush Deb, Rosemoyee Bhuyan, Likha Maya and Mache Beyong from VKV, Chimpu and Avinandan Baruah of Kingcup Public School.
The conference will be attended by students from all the North-Eastern states, besides West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
