ITANAGAR, 30 Jan: SJVN, through its registered trust SJVN Foundation, has entered into a strategic partnership with Piramal Swasthya Management & Research Institute (PSMRI) to launch a new mobile medical unit (MMU) in SJVN’s project areas in Arunachal.

The agreement was signed by SJVN GM (CSR) Awadhesh Prasad and PSMRI senior programme director Nitin Rathnam Rebba, in the presence of SJVN Foundation chairman Ajay Kumar Sharma, at SJVN corporate headquarters in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said that “this collaboration will play a transformative role in delivering essential healthcare services to the people of Arunachal Pradesh, ensuring access even in remote locations.”

The MMU, which is expected to be operational in the coming months, will serve as a vital resource in delivering primary healthcare services to communities residing in areas with limited medical infrastructure. Equipped with essential medical facilities, the MMU will offer services such as free medical consultations, diagnostic tests, medicines and emergency care, etc.
