DIRANG, 1 Feb: Eighty Rani piglets were distributed to farmers of West Kameng district during a ‘pig germplasm distribution and awareness camp on scientific piggery’ held at the National Research Centre on Yak (NRCY) here on Friday.
The programme was organised by Tribal Sub-Plan in-charge Dr Pranab Jyoti Das and senior scientist Dr Juwar Doley, along with scientists Dr Priyajoy Kar and Dr Lokesha E, under the leadership of Guwahati (Assam)-based National Research Centre on Pig Director Dr Vivek Kumar Gupta.
NRCY Director Dr Mihir Sarkar was also present on the occasion.
