Editor,
I wish to draw the attention of the chairman and the secretary of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission to the upcoming Arunachal Engineering Service Examination (AESE) 2025.
It is important to acknowledge that in recent times, the commission has made notable improvements in the way examinations are conducted. The recently held APPSCE exam was a fine example – transparency was maintained throughout. Similarly, the AESE preliminary examination was managed in a fair and professional manner. Such positive changes deserve appreciation, for good work must be acknowledged where it is due.
At the same time, it is unfortunate that a single avoidable mistake has created unnecessary confusion. The release of two separate candidate lists, without prior notification, has raised doubts and disrupted the examination schedule. Had only one consolidated list maintaining the 1:12 ratio been published in the beginning, the mains examination could have already been conducted smoothly as per the earlier schedule.
Now the responsibility falls upon the incoming secretary to uphold and strengthen this renewed faith in the commission. Aspirants genuinely hope that the same level of transparency, fairness, and accountability will not only continue but also improve further.
On behalf of the aspirant community, I earnestly request the commission to release the updated list of candidates qualified for mains without any further delay. If a revised date for the mains examination is being considered, it should also be notified to all the newly included candidates at the earliest. This will prevent further confusion, avoid unnecessary controversies, and ensure that the examination is held in a smooth and credible manner.
The AESE is a career-defining opportunity for hundreds of aspirants, and we appeal to the commission to safeguard its credibility and continue the positive momentum that has recently been built.
A concerned aspirant
