Editor,

I wish to request the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission to defer the JE recruitment, tentatively scheduled for 11 January, 2026, in case the commission does not conclude the entire process of the AESE 2025 and notifies the final list of selected candidates.

The simple reason is that if the junior engineers’ exam is held prior to the conclusion of the AESE, many candidates who might have excellently qualified in the AESE would again appear for JE exams due to the delay in releasing the results, and it would undeniably lead to disturbance in interview ratio and consequent deprivation of many aspirants.

Incidents of aspirants deserting lower posts when selected for higher ones have been repeatedly seen earlier, and it has led to vacancies again.

Therefore, conducting the JE exam after successful conclusion of the AESE is a matter of urgent necessity. It is the only win-win situation for both the commission and the candidates.

In the meantime, updation in this matter must be given, so that the confusion that haunts us fades.
