I wish to place on record a note of profound gratitude, born out of years of perseverance, disappointment, hope, and finally, faith restored.
After reaching the interview stage of the assistant engineer examination on three separate occasions, serving as a UDC under the CO Office, Lada, working as a junior engineer in the PWD, and now finally finding my name in the final list of assistant engineer (AE) 2025-26, this moment feels deeply emotional. This success is not merely personal; it is symbolic of a system that chose to correct itself.
I sincerely thank the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) for the much-needed reforms and the transparent, accountable manner in which the AE examination was conducted – right from the preliminary stage to the interview. For countless aspirants who had nearly lost faith, these reforms sent a powerful message: merit still matters. The fairness and clarity of the process ensured that genuine candidates were finally able to compete on equal footing.
Equally deserving of gratitude is PANJSC and the late Gyammer Padang, along with his bereaved family. During the darkest phase of the AE paper leakage controversy, when silence would have been the easier choice, they chose courage. Their protests, sacrifices, and relentless pursuit of justice compelled the system to introspect and reform. The changes we witness today did not come easily – they were earned through pain, struggle, and selfless commitment to the larger good.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that without their actions, these reforms might never have taken shape, and deserving candidates like me may never have seen justice. Their contribution will forever remain etched in the history of fair recruitment in Arunachal.
As one among many beneficiaries of this renewed system, I offer my heartfelt thanks to all those who stood for truth when it mattered most. May this be a turning point, where transparency becomes the norm, not the exception, and where future aspirants prepare with hope instead of fear.
